Diane Daly Awarded Highest Archdioces of St. Louis Award
The Order of St. Louis King Award, the highest award bestowed by the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is given to those who have provided consistent, outstanding service to the work of the Church in the Archdiocese. Established in 1988, it has been awarded to only 97 people, including Archbishop Carlson, Bishop O’Donnell, and Donald and Nancy Ross. K. Diane Daly, RN, CFCE, Director of the Archdiocesan Office of Natural Family Planning and co-developer of the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System, is now receiving this award.

Diane has brought FertilityCare™ services to students on six continents, personally
working in four continents, several countries and locally. She served as the first president of the American Academy of FertilityCare™ Professionals and was its first chairman of certification. Diane has been a faculty member of the Pope Paul VI Institute for 42 years and has been teaching at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary since 1998.

Being a registered nurse frames all Diane’s work and it transfers to her personal life as a wife, mother, grandmother and health care volunteer at her parish, St. Clement of Rome. She is a member of the Archdiocesan Curia and has served on the strategic planning team and on the Missouri Catholic Conference’s public policy committee. Diane’s greatest personal achievement is marrying her husband, Tom, raising their four children, and helping with their grandchildren.

On the occasion of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Humanae Vitae, for her leadership and excellent work in fertility care at Mercy and around the world since 1977, for her work as Director of the Archdiocesan Office of Natural Family Planning and service to the Church, K. Diane Daly is enrolled as the 98th member of the Order of St. Louis King for Outstanding Service to Christ and His Church.

Congratulations, Diane! Thank you for your tireless work in the area of Natural Family Planning!
