Speech Language Pathologist

Bishop DuBourg is one of those places where you can truly be whoever you want to be. It has a wide variety of academic resources and clubs available for you to help figure out who you are as a person.

One of the things I’m most grateful for is my experience in the Academy of Advanced Studies. I was fortunate enough to be part of the first class of the Academy. Part of the Academy was taking a class called Big History. This class was sponsored by Bill Gates in which we learned the history of the Big Bang up until the 20th Century. It was incredibly eye opening to see what events shaped today’s society and it helped me develop big picture thinking skills.

The skills that I developed at Bishop DuBourg helped create the building blocks I needed to be successful in college. I was able to obtain my Bachelor of Science within three years and then continued to get my Master’s degree in speech language pathology.

Without Bishop DuBourg, I would not be who I am today and I am incredibly thankful for my high-school experience.
