Women’s Head Basketball Coach
Job Description
The Head Women’s Basketball Coach is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the high school women’s basketball program, including mentorship and program development The ideal candidate will have a four-year Bachelor’s degree, a strong background in basketball coaching, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering the athletic and personal growth of student-athletes and appreciation of the sport. Works closely with student-athletes to develop good character on and off the field. Assists teachers, counselors, and other school personnel with student-athlete attendance, academics, and behavior during basketball season.
Essential Duties
-
Develop a comprehensive basketball program emphasizing player development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Plan and conduct practices, training sessions, and conditioning programs (including summer workouts)

Lead and manage the coaching staff, including assistant coaches and support personnel.
-
Hold organizational meetings for team prospects and encourage potential athletes to participate in the sport.
-
Assesses player’s skills and assigns team positions.
-
Works with the athletic director in scheduling facilities for practices and competitions.

Assign duties to an assistant coach as necessary
-
Coaches and instructs players, individually or in groups, regarding the rules, regulations, equipment, and techniques of the sport.

Determines game strategy based on the team’s capabilities.

Monitors the academic performance of team members to ensure that eligibility requirements are met.
-
Follows established procedures in the event of an athlete’s injury. Work closely with the athletic trainer about players and their injuries.

Follows state, regional, and district regulations governing the athletic program.
-
Modeled sportsmen‐like behavior and maintained appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.

Acts as a team representative and promotes the sport.

Follows established procedures for the proper care, maintenance, and requisitioning of equipment, supplies, and uniforms.

Qualifications
-
Previous experience as a basketball coach at the high school or collegiate level
-
Strong knowledge of basketball skills, strategies, and rules
-
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
-
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and other days required by the athletic schedule
-
Must possess the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators, parents, and students.

ASSISTANT BOYS BASKETBALL COACH
Job Summary: The job of a basketball coach is to design and implement the program's activities following applicable rules and regulations related to the sport; help the head coach provide supervision of student-athletes during all aspects of the program; using sound instructional techniques in overseeing the program activities; serving as a positive role model to student-athletes. This job reports to the Head Coach and Athletic Director
Essential Duties:

To fully understand and assist in the implementation of the philosophies of the athletic program and the school.

To develop players in specific areas of responsibility within the guidelines set forth by the head coach.

To teach fundamentals and techniques that are approved by the state association regarding player safety.

TRACK AND FIELD THROWING COACH
Job Description: The High School Track and Field Throws Coach is responsible for coaching and developing student-athletes in all throwing events, shot put, javelin, and discus. The role involves creating training plans, teaching techniques, and fostering a positive and competitive environment. The coach will work closely with the Head Coach to ensure the overall success of the track and field program.
Essential Duties:

Develop and implement training programs tailored for throwers to enhance strength and technique.

Conduct practice sessions focusing on the fundamentals and advanced skills of throws.

Provide individualized coaching and feedback to athletes to help them reach their full potential.

Emphasize proper form and technique.

Prepare athletes for competitions, including strategy and mental preparation.

Support athletes during meets, providing real-time coaching and feedback.
-
Help organize and manage team participation in meets, including equipment and logistics.
-
Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes hard work, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Mentor student-athletes on balancing academic responsibilities with athletic commitments.

Qualifications
