Distinguished Alumnus Award
The Distinguished Alumnus Award, presented annually at commencement, recognizes the personal, professional, and civic accomplishments of a Bishop DuBourg Alumnus who has demonstrated a commitment to faith, family, and service.

Hall of Fame
Bishop DuBourg High School recognizes many of our former athletes and coaches throughout the years at our annual Hall of Fame Dinner. Currently, there are over 100 inductees, and many more to come.

The Bishop DuBourg High School Hall of Fame is currently accepting nominations for alumni who excelled in athletics as well as any coaches, living or deceased, who are deserving of this honor.  Nominees should be alumni who have graduated from 1959-2001. All nominees must be a graduate from the school for at least ten years before they are considered. To nominate someone, contact Angela Calloni or fill out this form.

Members of the Hall of Fame are inducted based on their great accomplishments in athletics. The inductees exemplify what it means to be a part of the Bishop DuBourg Family.

Wall of Fame

Introduced in 2016, the Wall of Fame recognizes distinguished alumni who have shown exemplary service, accomplishment, or commitment to DB or the community.

Distinguished Alumni Award

Congratulations to our 2018 recipients:

Steve ‘76 & Angie (DePalma) ‘77 Butz!

Steve and Angie Butz have been married for 38 years as of tomorrow, May 23rd, 2018. They have raised 6 children and have recently welcomed their 7th grandchild. While they would never trade the activity and chaos of a house full of kids, they are enjoying their new chapter in life as “empty nesters”.

Steve and Angie proudly say they owe a lot to Bishop DuBourg. They met during a Guild Players production of “The Importance of Being Earnest” and the rest is history! Steve and Angie are pillars among the Bishop DuBourg community, leading through philanthropic giving and participation in various DB activities. One such example is the Teresa Butz Spirit Award named in honor of Steve’s sister who is deceased. This award is given each year to an athlete that exhibits leadership, sportsmanship and DB spirit, following the legacy of Steve’s sister who was an accomplished DB softball player. They are proud of their family’s legacy at DB, sending four of their six children to Bishop DuBourg - Adam ’99, Kevin ’97, Natalie ’08, and Grace ’14 along with many other members of Steve and Angie’s extended families throughout the years.

Both Steve and Angie attended the University of Missouri – St. Louis, with Steve focusing his education on taking over the family business and Angie obtaining a degree in education. Angie just recently retired after many years of teaching at St. Stephen Protomartyr. Steve, along with his brother, Mike ’79, own and manage the Crawford-Butz Insurance Agency in St. Louis. The agency currently employs approximately 35 agents and customer service reps with offices in Affton, Arnold, and Kansas City.

Together, the Butz family owns and operates Eagle Hurst Ranch in Steelville, MO. At Eagle Hurst, the family has partnered together to create a family-friendly vacation destination while enjoying the beauty of Missouri wildlife.

Steve is currently a candidate for the Missouri House of Representatives in the 81st district of south city where they make their home. As a resident of south city for over 50 years, Steve wants to make a difference and encourage folks to believe that they can make a difference in their neighborhood.

Steve and Angie have a lifelong theme of service and leadership. They look to serve in their communities whether it is their neighborhood, parish or parish school – St. Stephen Protomartyr. They strongly believe in Catholic education and are most humbled to be honored by their Alma Mater.

Congratulations, Steve and Angie!
