State Champs!
Congratulations to the 2010 Bishop DuBourg Varsity Baseball team on being the Missouri Class 3 State Champions!! The Cavaliers beat Winfield 8
‐5 for the Championship on Saturday, June 5th at Meador Park in Springfield, MO. Hard work and exceptional talent earned the team the first DB Baseball State Championship in school history. A welcome home rally was organized to greet the team upon their arrival back to DB the night of the game. Coach Joe Groaning was deeply touched by this showing of spirit, “...the reception we had on our return to school Saturday evening was overwhelming. The boys and I were shocked when we turned the corner at Hampton and saw the front lot packed with people and cars. It really was an awesome sight and one of the memories I will cherish the most.” In addition to the amazingly successful season the team experienced, Coach Groaning was named the AAA Conference Coach of the Year. Congrats!!
